What is a PPEC?
PPEC stands for Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care. A PPEC allows Medicaid eligible children from birth through age 21 with medically complex conditions, to receive continual skilled nursing care in a non-residential setting.
When approved, medically fragile children can attend to Learning Tree PPEC up to a maximum of twelve hours per day, while receiving skilled nursing services, personal care, developmental therapies, and caregiver training.
